The museum at the lodge displays a combination of early cowboy ranching history as well as local movie memorabilia. Today, it continues to function as a working ranch. The lodge has a spa, movie museum, and luxurious rooms, along with wine tasting events, but both the lodge and the museum are also part of the Red Cliffs Ranch, which was settled in the late 1800's. The Red Cliffs Adventure Lodge also offers high-quality lodging, however, with a bit more of an outdoorsy feel. This upscale Moab hotel includes spa facilities, a health club, and gourmet dining, and it is the only four-diamond hotel in town. Travelers seeking a more resort-style place to stay might like the Sorrel River Ranch Resort. There is a shaded barbeque area, a hot tub and in-room refrigerators and coffee makers. Cyclists who are looking for bicycle friendly Moab lodging will love the Kokopelli Lodge and Suites, as this great option offers bicycle storage and a bicycle maintenance room. There are Moab hotels from major chains such as Best Western, but for many travelers, the locally owned accommodations have more character.
